About Joe
Joe grew up on a farm outside Rice Lake, Wisconsin. From an early age, his parents found creative ways to keep a book in his hands.Inspired by Teddy Roosevelt, Karol Wojtyla, Fr. Bill Baer, and the writings of John Eldredge, Joe has constantly sought adventure. At fourteen, he left home to attend a boarding school. Then studied for the Catholic priesthood. Then went to law school. Then joined the Army, working as a military police officer and attorney.He's done everything from unicycle riding to fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan.Joe currently lives in Missouri with his wife. When he is not reading a book, juggling, or trying to play a mandolin, he helps his wife manage a family of seven children and two dogs. "Manage" includes a lot of failing, forgiveness, and love.
